A QiwraLink FAQ is a short answer on how private QR tags work, finder contact, and keeping your number hidden.
General Questions
A Qiwra tag is a durable, weather-resistant adhesive or keychain equipped with a unique, encrypted QR code. It acts as a digital bridge between you and anyone who finds your lost property, without exposing your private phone number or address.
Unlike AirTags, Qiwra tags require no batteries, no bluetooth, and no expensive hardware. While AirTags show you where an item is on a map, Qiwra tags provide a way for a finder to communicate with you instantly and safely, working on any smartphone globally.
Privacy & Security
In Secure Proxy mode (the default), your identity is hidden — finders only see a secure message or call option. If you enable Direct Contact in your Control Center, finders can reach your phone or email directly; you choose which mode suits each tag.
If you notice suspicious activity or repeated scans from the same location, you can block that specific IP address with one click. This prevents that person from accessing your tag's info ever again, adding an extra layer of protection against harassment.
Usage & Shipping
No. Any phone camera reads the QR code. Finders never need to download anything or sign up.
The finder calls you from their phone browser through QiwraLink. In Secure Proxy mode neither of you sees the other's phone number.
No. There is no GPS and no battery. When someone scans your tag, they are asked whether to share their location with you. It is always their choice and never automatic.
Yes. Finders can scan your tag anywhere in the world. Our shop ships to the UK and India.
Tap "Got it back" in your chat with the finder. We send them a one-time 20% thank-you code for a tag of their own, so good deeds get rewarded.
Only what is needed to connect finders to you. Scan logs are deleted automatically after 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details. Jaagili Limited is registered with the ICO (ZC147969).
Update it in the app. Nothing personal is printed on the tag, so the tag itself never needs replacing.
